But who is gonna take the time to look at that? Also ngl that tab is filled with remixes, you're never gonna find stuff there.Let me remind you that Yes we know that, but we would like a “new release bar” maybe, so we can see new projects.this does exist.

agreed, this is totally NOT social media. we're supposed to just have fun coding, not focusing on getting front paged this isnt social media where you focus on popularity. you just code, advertise (in studios), and have friends. stop treating this as a major problem or social media platform
I completely understand this. Though scratch is not just for popularity, sometimes it is important to some people to have loves, favorites, followers, etc. People like me sometimes put a lot of work and effort into projects. (mine normally take me weeks, working around 2-6 hours a day) If we don't get enough views, we sometimes feel like we work hard for nothing.

Filled with remixes. I mean, there's got to be some kind of way to filter those out.

Well, you wanted to be able to see recent projects, so…But who is gonna take the time to look at that? Why have a bar on the front page since it's going to be “filled with remixes”, and no one “is gonna take the time to look at that”.

Why is nobody paying any thought to what I said?
Shall I repeat?
What's more of an issue is rather the opposite. More than once have I seen low-effort projects get featured that simply weren't worthy of it. Yet actually decent creators go very unnoticed more often than not. And your point isn't completely the case as making underrated projects and creators break out has pretty much become the point of FPC's. And this is, actually being spammed all over this platform. You can see for yourself.

So why are people making such an issue of it in the first place?A project only becomes popular if it is good then and people enjoy it.Instead people are spamming this message thinking it will increase thier popularity.

you work hard for nothing? and what do views give you? absolutely nothing! also, you DO NOT have to do scratch. if you want something for your “hard work,” go do hard work on something else! I hate to be a pain, but what's your definition of a “worthy project?” You can't define an adjective with a single standard - doing so would result in a ton of dissatisfied Scratchers. Let's take this to a different platform - YouTube.you work hard for nothing? and what do views give you? absolutely nothing! also, you DO NOT have to do scratch. if you want something for your “hard work,” go do hard work on something else!
I'm a content creator with around 500 subscribers. Gaining those subscribers takes a ton of luck and strategy in order to even reach a three figured number - you have to know your audience, create content that's attractive, say the “right” things (again, appealing to the audience), and update your channel regularly. I'll definitely say that getting “very little” views and almost little content interaction is very dissatisfying. Compare that to a person who makes similar content with nearly 30 000 subscribers and 10 000+ views for every video. To me, that's a bit of a blow to see the an audience that's interested in the same content I produce (granted I don't produce to the level he does) continually flock to his channel while I'm sitting with more-or-less random views.
So why do I continue to create despite my jealousy? People need to have an outlet to share their interests with others. For some, this may be programming, even on Scratch. Views give the motivation and reason for a Scratcher to want to do better even though their programing may be novice.
Sure, it may be a waste of my time, but that's just the way some people tend to be and some interests are more easier to outlet in other formats than others.
I can see why, despite the impracticalities, Scratchers would want something like this.

I agree with her message! Scratch should make a feature like that. I saw a project that had a Scratch Cat deformed in the middle of the screen and it did nothing else. It is titled “im bored”. It had 300 something views and 13 likes and 13 favorites, while games that people have actually tried making get no views at all.

people are different. Views can be satisfying just getting them. Even if you don't care about views other people DO.you work hard for nothing? and what do views give you? absolutely nothing! also, you DO NOT have to do scratch. if you want something for your “hard work,” go do hard work on something else! It's my opinion that “fame” can be achieved through hard work and dedication. I love this idea, but a similar project bar would be very hard to make - namely, who decides what projects are relevant to it? Besides, small creators go big all the time (take me for example - a month ago I was minding my own business making games for my, what, 3 followers - next day, my project is curated on the front page). I think that if you stay on Scratch and constantly add projects, you're bound to get better, and bound to start gaining popularity.
I agree, many Scratchers don't get popular after a while…
I think if “small” creators make many big projects, then they will get popular, but if they make only a few big projects, it might take a longer time.

It is not causing people to be divided, if anything we are having a friendly debate and the discussions is just suggesting an idea.

yes, your right. getting views IS satisfying, and that makes sense. I'm a content creator with around 500 subscribers. yes, views are satisfying, but the more of them you get, the less special they are. right now, i'm super happy when ONE user loves or favorites one of my projects. but as you get more of those if your projects become popular, then each doesn't mean as much. personally, i'd rather get only a few loves or favs instead of my notifications blowing up because so many people love my projects, because then each user who loved or faved means a lot more. also, a similar projects bar would not solve the “problem” of scratchers not being “popular enough.” not to mention that its almost impossible.people are different. Views can be satisfying just getting them. Even if you don't care about views other people DO.you work hard for nothing? and what do views give you? absolutely nothing! also, you DO NOT have to do scratch. if you want something for your “hard work,” go do hard work on something else!
