Glow Team Collab Topic
The Glow Team was founded by user OneTapTK, who also owns the Glow Shop

The Glow Team was created for a group of elite coders, and artists to come together to create entries for contests as well as fun. We are not adding any more members.



There are a current of 9 members within the Glow Team.
This is where members of the Glow Team come together to talk about the projects they are collaborating on.

THINGS WE NEED DONE
Player sprite/code
Scrolling Sprite Code: HAX
Scrolling Sprite Levels (2 people, one for level structure (building/coding), other for cosmetic looks (art): Building: -OdysseyCentral- Coding: HAX Cosmetics: Galaxy-Cat
Backgrounds (Multiple people): Odyssey (parallax)
Basic Backstory here
*Coding: depresso-boiyo (because this will be simple, aka animation)

Collectibles (stickers) - depresso-boiyo (this is not negotiable I will draw the cute chibi achievements bc we are collectibles lol. Its not actually achievements its just a little hunt for ppl to do bc they bored)

Could work, I like platformers, especially with good, precise controls like in Celeste, and if it was pixel art I could also help lot. If it's tile scrolling, I have mastered the art of tile scrolling and made a perfect no lag engine for tile scrolling

Okay, well we will need storyboard directors though, so…. like someone to tell whats happening. Also, how generic is this game going to be? As in its just 10 levels, or will there be many levels, and puzzles, hidden rooms, as well as story animations?

Yeah. We could like maybe make it a series? like each game is a “chapter”

But we will need a character for the player to be.. we could self insert the character into the game, or we could make the character control the decisions of a character we input into the game

i have an idea regarding 2D-top-down.

I think 8-10 longer levels made out of smaller sections could work, with hidden sections, collectibles and some puzzles along the way. We could include cutscenes with dialogue and some side characters in some places to talk to too.

So, I had an idea for a platformer with lore a while ago, and I think it's pretty good for the fact I don't specialize in these things. I can share the lore + characters if you want me to.

Collectibles could be a way to show achievements. That would work. Also, I have a voting project set up. Vote on it so we know what to do for the character the player controls.
