Working on a project with alternate accounts.
Hello.
I have an alt (@Scratch4LoganAlt) that was first made to remix my own projects, and still does today. But why can't me and my alt work on the same project together?
The main reason why is probably because the Scratch website thinks they are two different accounts, ran by two different people. But actually, it's run by the SAME person. So why can't I work on my projects with my alt?
The second reason is because it's unshared. It can't be seen by other accounts / people. Overall, Scratch should add this feature so me and my alt can add things from time to time.
The end.
<[My name] = [Scratch4Logan]>and this is my first forum post since I've been on Scratch for 1 year. Anyway, we're not here to talk about that. We're here to talk about WORK. No, not physical work, like a job, just… working on projects. And I want to do so with alt accounts. Seriously, why isn't this in Scratch already?

This would fall under this rejected suggestion:
2.1 Adding users to work on projects
Having multiple Scratchers work on the same project would be difficult to moderate not only due to technological limitations but also because it could lead to private messaging; for more information, see #7.1 on this list. This suggestion includes live editing (similar to Google Docs) and other forms of private collaboration. If you would like to work on a project with another Scratcher, you can remix each others' projects.
At the moment, a turn-based collaboration system for shared projects is NOT rejected; you can discuss it on this topic.

Why would you be adding things from different accounts? Just work on the project with 1 account…
And I think this is technically rejected, idk tho

I'm the same Scratcher, therefore it's not necessarily “multiple Scratchers”. It's multiple accounts, that's correct, but the SAME Scratcher.2.1 Adding users to work on projects

What if you're moving to a new account and you wanna work on your old, unshared projects on your new account?

SAME Scratcher. That doesn't stop another person from using your alt accounts. Why would you need to be adding things from different accounts anyway? What's the point? I'm the same Scratcher, therefore it's not necessarily “multiple Scratchers”. It's multiple accounts, that's correct, but the

There might be problems if the file size was too big for the computer to comprehend.

And how would the ST ensure its your alt and not your friend?I'm the same Scratcher, therefore it's not necessarily “multiple Scratchers”. It's multiple accounts, that's correct, but the SAME Scratcher.2.1 Adding users to work on projects

If that was the case, then how would it run in a web browser? There might be problems if the file size was too big for the computer to comprehend.

It'll still be fine. There might be problems if the file size was too big for the computer to comprehend.

You have a serious issue if you can’t download 50 mb

No, the computer would crash since the file was too big. It couldn't upload the file successfully.

Maybe the computer is too small, and doesn't have enough force to download parts of the file to its multiple microchips.

It wouldn't. It would crash, and you wouldn't get to work on it AGAIN.

*laughs*. How is 50MB big anyway? If your computer can't handle that much, get a new one or buy more storage. No, the computer would crash since the file was too big. It couldn't upload the file successfully.
The highest I had in my files is 29MB. It worked fine.
It turned into 444.5KB instead for some reason.
