Start encouraging more mobile friendly projects

So, I'm a mobile user. And sadly, I can't enjoy a lot of projects because they require the space button or the arrow keys. Now, I'm not saying that every project needs to be mobile friendly. I'm just saying that we could start encouraging it more. I don't find it very fun if a project requires me to push space, and I have to go into the project and change the code or just leave the project. I totally understand that not every project will be mobile friendly and somethings just need to require a keyboard. But it would be nice to see more of it.

Ways to encourage:

Feature mobile friendly projects

Make studios specifically for mobile-friendly games

Whenever Scratch hosts an event to make a game, a quick mention of making it mobile-friendly

Making a tutorial for how to make mobile projects

#mobile tag

If you have any more, please tell me! Scratch is trying to be accessable to everyone 8+. Imagine if an eight-year-old on a tablet logged on and found out that they couldn't play any of the featured games. It would be pretty frustrating. And even then, I know that not every project will be mobile-friendly, but it would help in more enjoyment from the mobile users on here.

I feel the need to note that not all mobile users use phones. Ipads, tablets, and other touch screens are also mobile! Of course, this still would benefit phone users

Scratch has made those studios where scratchers are invited to make projects. Maybe just a quick mention? The could also mention it in the community guidelines, but I don't think they need too.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe the Scratch Team could feature a studio or two encouraging mobile-friendly projects? If you happen to know of any studios which encourage mobile-friendly projects, you can propose them to be featured here: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/569708/

I know of a perfect way to encourage mobile friendly controls, have a tutorial for it in the scratch editor.

Support! I'm typing this on mobile rn, and I can confirm that it's really annoying when projects aren't mobile friendly.

I'd definitely love this, however, mobile friendly projects can be challenging to make, and, some variety from the platformers and clickers would be nice. I do think this would be very good, to show how large of a community the mobile part of Scratch is, and I do support it 100%. Just, one thing, is that, like I said, it can be challenging to make a mobile game, and a lot of people won't have the patience for it.
Maybe this could be a future SDS…?

I should mention, scratch can also feature more mobile friendly projects. (Not only mobile friendly, just more of them)

I don't think it'll be that challenging to make as if you just add 4 buttons for each key, bam, you have a mobile friendly game, you can upgrade to better mobile friendly controls as your skills develop, most scratchers definitely will have the patience to make 4 buttons

Yup! I made a mini game and making to mobile probably took no more thank thirty minutes. But it can depend on the project…

And it can be more than four buttons. (Like if there was a key button that needed to be pressed. EX: When “X” clicked, so and so)

Support! I am a keyboard user and I enjoy more fame from mobile scratchers accessibility. This will give mobile users more projects to play and more to experience. I would like it to be a SDS though.

The only mobile computers I use Scratch on are notebooks, and these do have a keyboard. What you're seeing results from tablet users making up a very small portion of the Scratch user base – I don't even have a tablet computer I could test my projects on.
Have you considered using an on-screen keyboard program for these projects?

Yes, but it doesn't work very well for me. And this is a very simple addition. Just a few words. And even if it's a small portion, there are still a lot. And some use both Mobile and computer.

How would they differentiate keyboard projects from mobile ones?
