We need a better way to help fix/fight forum raids than the current “report and wait” system, as it's slow, not guaranteed to always work, and can be extremely tedious.

•Suggestion #1: If there is a topic with the same title as your topic, it will not make that topic, and instead say “there is already a topic with this title. *Link to topic*”?
Pros: would cut down on spam with the same title, or posts repeating the same thing over and over again.
Cons: would make Bumping a topic harder to do, as it would prevent it from sending if you say it a lot. It would also make posting topics harder, as you may have one with the same title as an older one, and it wouldn't go through.

Semi support. The raid being the biggest reason for support(looks like there’s mostly bots)
Maybe if theres another made within the last 24 hours, it wont let you make it, and if it is older, till suggest you look at that topic to see if its suggesting the same.

this would be a problem in other forums, but it does work in the discussion forums as it also help with removing dupe suggestions

also it seems like most of the raiders seem to be new scratchers, but not alts.
Maybe also limit the ability for new scratchers to post on the forums? (only limit, as the forums is meant for all scrathcers to use)

You can get away with reporting a handful, the ST will see the other ones the exact same and remove them.

did you notice something weird with the favorites of the spammers though

they appear to favorite the same project (“make this project the most loved one” or somthing similar, but all i remember is like it has an egg as the thumbnail)

This does nothing. Thry can simply use a different title for each post, and that would almost definitely cause lots of false positives.

Yes, same. I think they are mainly using it as a focal point for the spam.

Perhaps the limit could be one post added period every 5 seconds, if you try posting within 5 seconds of another, it’ll wait until its been 5 seconds to post, if you’re a new scratcher.
