Support, but the “Inappropriate featured project” reports can be done using Contact Us

To be fair, all reports can be done with contact us. Support, but the “Inappropriate featured project” reports can be done using Contact Us

Could you do a mockup in 2.0? I'm not sure how “Other” would look there (maybe a bubble and text entry next to it?)

The modal could have two steps. Alternatively, a text input could appear when selecting “other”. Another option is that the text box would be always there and starting to type would automatically select “other”. Could you do a mockup in 2.0? I don't think discussing the exact design is very helpful though. That's something Scratch's designers will do after they decide to implement a feature.

reporting with reasons (and hitting other and describing a reason manually) would mean that it's easier to understand why a user reported something, the current system makes it hard to report a profile unless the problem is obvious

It already is obvious. If you report someone for an inappropriate profile picture, the Scratch Team will know exactly where to look. reporting with reasons (and hitting other and describing a reason manually) would mean that it's easier to understand why a user reported something, the current system makes it hard to report a profile unless the problem is obvious

no not really, maximouse is correct, and the reason above is why i wrote the postIt already is obvious. Fair point, but I don't think only having an “Other” option would really solve this. Perhaps instead if you could add reasoning to any of the default reasons like you can with projects would be better.no not really, maximouse is correct, and the reason above is why i wrote the postIt already is obvious. As of now you can only report aspects of the profile and need to use Contact Us to report bad activity. {{REMOVED_BEFORE_POST|#antisupportconvention}}

Whenever I use contact us for reports, it just sends an automated message and nothing else happens. Support, but the “Inappropriate featured project” reports can be done using Contact Us

One more good option could be an inappropriate projects tab, favorite projects tab, studio tab, following tab, etc. That may sound silly, but I know there are quite a bit of bad words spelled out in such tabs.

I believe they should add an option for you to write out what is wrong with the user's profile.
For example, if it is about a user's projects we should list out the ones on the profile that need to be removed.
And controversial figures who are exposed of crimes (pedophilia, murder, etc) would need to be banned off the platform, in which users will provide proof of the crime and the outcome (arrest and news reports)
Considering that Scratch is mostly used by kids, I feel like it would help clean out the bad ones.
