[Sprite, Costumes, Code Blocks, Time Spent] Counter
This topic is a duplicate of this topic, but I was given permission by the OP of that topic to create a new one. Proof.
TLDR; There should be an area in the editor that shows the amount of blocks, sprites, costumes, and/or time spent in a project. This is meant to be a tool for the creator rather than a cool stat for the community, and would allow the creator to see some more statistics about their project.
Sprites
Description: This will count the amount of sprites currently in the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.

Cons:
Costumes

Code Blocks (duplicate)
Description: This will count the amount of individual code blocks currently in the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.

Total Time
Description: This will count the amount of time spent in the editor of the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.

Sprites
Description: This will count the amount of sprites currently in the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.
Pros:
- Will allow people to know how many sprites they have without having to count them all
- Especially helpful with projects with a lot of sprites.
Cons:
- Could cause people to brag or think they're project is better because it has more sprites.
Costumes
Description: This will count the amount of costumes currently in the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.
Pros:
- Will allow people to know how many costumes they have without having to count them all
- Especially helpful for animators who work with a lot of costumes.
Cons:
Code Blocks (duplicate)
Description: This will count the amount of individual code blocks currently in the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.
Pros:
- Could allow people who want to put "Made with over X code blocks!" in their projects' description to be more accurate
- Especially helpful for projects with multiple sprites where the workaround isn't a productive option.
Cons:
- Workaround: Right click and see the number where it says, "Delete X blocks?"
Total Time
Description: This will count the amount of time spent in the editor of the project. Users viewing the project could go inside and see this stat.
Pros:
- Would be a very helpful way for scratchers to moderate their time.
- Would be a good way for scratchers to know how much time they actually spent on a project.
- Would allow "This project took X hours to make!" in project descriptions to be much easier.
- No workaround.
Cons:
- Might cause people to purposely spend time on scratch just so they can say, "I spent X whole hours on this project!" when they spent much fewer on it.

The share and see project page button are there, so this wouldn’t work.

support, although i have one question
Total Timethis is a cool feature, but i have a question: what if you spend time in the editor, not changing anything? like, for example, let's say you were to backpack assets in a scratch project. or maybe you have the editor open while you're AFK. in these scenarios, you are spending time in the editor, but you're not actually working on the project. that would make the time spent working on the project inaccurate.

I think it should be, as in the original suggestion, a button, as it is more of a tool that you would use in specific cases (perhaps the block counter should be left directly visible as a useful thing for code optimization) as I don’t imagine staring the time I spent that often or regularly counting costumes and sprites, because it doesn’t change very frequently.

The count will still go up, because determining if someone is afk is a bit ambiguous. what if you spend time in the editor, not changing anything?

what about no keys have been pressed in 1 minute/no changes has been made in 1 minuteThe count will still go up, because determining if someone is afk is a bit ambiguous. what if you spend time in the editor, not changing anything?

I support time, code blocks, and sprites, but not costumes since they're easily countable. just look at the number next to each costume name. shouldn't be too hard to go to the costumes tab and check the number of the last costume

sprites are also easily countable but if you have a lot of sprites you have to count them all manually

I'm pretty sure this will be for all sprites, not just for one, so it would still be a good feature to have if you have a lot of sprites. I support time, code blocks, and sprites, but not costumes since they're easily countable. just look at the number next to each costume name.

I like this, this would make a Good QoL update, and I don’t think people would brag about how many sprites they have in a project

Yeah, it was one of those things where I wanted to put and I don’t think people would brag about how many sprites they have in a projectsomething just to seem less biased.

Hmm… I could see a lot of workarounds for these. Like, before you go to sleep you could put a rock on one of your arrow keys after highlighting a section of a costume. Or even better, someone just makes a python bot to run up the time. I don’t think there should be anything like that because then people will try to exploit it or run up the time, and it wouldn’t really be fair for people who don’t do this. what about no keys have been pressed in 1 minute/no changes has been made in 1 minute

PROJECT SPEEDRUNNIN TIME
I don't really see how having how much time you've spent working on a project would be very useful, but that's just me. Block counters are something I'd like back (mainly for bragging rights on school projects)

I think it would be a good way to manage your time better (woah, I've spent 5 hours on scratch! I should get off) or even help to let you know how long you've been working on something. Like, I've seen projects that will say in the description “This project took 5 hours to make,” and I think that would help those to be more accurate and just be a good way to get feedback on your project. I don't really see how having how much time you've spent working on a project would be very useful, but that's just me.
like back (mainly for bragging rights on school projects)Say what? Was this a feature before? Block counters are something I'd
Also this could help teachers to be able to set limits like “50 blocks minimum” or something like that, to kind of force students to do something. Same could go for the time counter.
