Probably, because I messed up at one of the parts where the notes were actually fast (Which I didn't expect from a normal difficulty song), while I was probably thinking slow.I do that a lot too.. maybe because on normal there are less notes but I don't know if that makes much sense lol I did full combo on MACHINEGUN POEM DOLL (Hard, speed I think 10) but for some reason, I couldn't full combo on normal mode.

I wanted to analyze certain songs, their meanings, and how they are relevant to the characters. I will be doing Love Me, Love Me, Love Me first. It sounds like a typical N25 song at first, but once you learn the lyrics, it turns into a gripping song about insecurity. The lyrics are vague, but these are my interpretations. I recommend playing the song, pause when
In a distant memory, i came across a coiled collar
I want attention, I want attention” the cursed collar cried
To me, the collar is a representation of insecurity. This brings me to think that the song in particular is about Mafuyu.
Don't get mad, Don't leave, Don't go anywhere! (hey…)
It strangles me until I throw up when no one's around
Wow, that turned dark and we're only halfway through the first verse. There is two ways I interpret this. 1: When there's no one to judge, the façade is off, and then you have nowhere to hide from your insecurities. The creeping feeling of never being “good enough” for your peers can really be a devastating experience. 2: If you are ignored, the collar, which begs for attention, can get a little tight around the neck. The latter makes sense for the song, but the former makes sense in a PJSK scenario.
Good grades, eh? Hey hey, Aren't I a good kid?
Ain't I a cute kid? Hey, hey! I'm good, right? It hurts, hey…
Honestly my favourite part of the song, it's so immensely beautiful and painful at the same time. I can picure a scene, the singer tries to get the attention of someone, who barely acknowledges her existense. This causes the obsessive, insecure part of the narrator, the collar, to gag her. While it does relate to our singers Mafuyu (Good grades, eh?) and Ena (Ain't I a cute kid?) in some way, it mostly connects to the song's meaning more than the characters. With the narrator, being ignored causes an extreme reaction, which we'll see soon. For the N25 singers, I'd expect nothing more than a deep sigh and some disappointment. But in the song's context, it's beautiful and paints such a vivid (bad squad :p) picture of what is essentially insecurity if it was an actual weapon.
Love me, Love me, Love me, more, more!
Love me, Love me, Love me until I go mad
It’s painful, it’s painful, it’s cursed, it’s broken, it’s unstoppable.
Why are these lyrics so sad? To me, this is the “extreme reaction” that I was talking about. In the song's context, the character is obsessive about what other people think about her, and the lyrics reflect that. And in PJSK's case, oh boy, get a seat for THIS! Mafuyu is begging to her parents: Love me for who I am! Why the heck does everyone try to control her dreams? In case you think “oh well its not that bad” go watch the entire N25 story. Try not to cry. “Disappear” is thrown around a lot, and judging by the reactions to the sheer mention of it, it seems the word is a G-rated stand-in for something that would be very disturbing in the context of some characters in a family friendly game! (yet the actual word thrown around a lot in this context in composing the future)
Ok, I need to stop before I bawl my eyes out. The characters are so multi-layered and the song choices only help that. This is the best mobile game I've played, and I've played a lot of games. In a while, I'll do an actual review of the song and the music video. Here's my 2¢, see ya.
