Unlisted projects but they can't be posted on scratch.
Lets say you want to share a special calculator with your friends to cheat on math homework or you want to share a project with beta testers on another site. Since turbowarp (thankfully) won't be able to see unshared projects soon, you can't do that. So I have an idea, unlisted projects.
Here is why unlisted projects are rejected:
My solution: don't share it on scratch so we don't have to worry about other scratchers seeing inappropriate stuff from this.
How it would work is like this: There would be a button that shares it as unlisted. It generates a url that is slightly different from the normal url (ex:scratch.mit.edu/projects/u/408296133). When you share an unlisted project, it says that you can't share it on scratch in a pop-up. The filter would block any of the urls so it can't be posted on scratch.
Mockup:

So yeah.
Edit:
Unlisted projects are just projects that can only be accessed with the link.
They can still be taken down like normal projects if they cause any problems.
Here is why unlisted projects are rejected:
We depend heavily on the community to view projects and let us know when something in the project goes against the Community Guidelines. Restricting the viewing audience to a very small number decreases the likelihood that we would get a report if the project were not okay. It would also make it easier to do some forms of private communication, since we don't have the resources to view every project.(source)

Why would we want to host projects on Scratch that can't be shared on Scratch?

Don’t you already host all the unshared projects anyway? That’s why the api can access them. Why would this be different. Why would we want to host projects on Scratch that can't be shared on Scratch?

I can't see the image being hosted on Cubeupload.

(#5)It's just a picture of a button that says “Share As Unlisted” next to the share button.

You could alternatively just make the project in the offline editor and share the file via other means.

(#7)But that's a lot tougher and not everyone knows how to do it.

Then they can just learn how to do it in that logic, and it's not any more difficult as long as you have a way of sharing it(#7)But that's a lot tougher and not everyone knows how to do it.

(#8)Also, nobody wants to get the offline editor for one project.(#7)But that's a lot tougher and not everyone knows how to do it.

Also file space.

(#11)No.

That's the point. You aren't supposed to share unlisted projects with people on scratch because of moderation issues. so, how are you gonna share it “by other means”? nobody who i talk to on scratch i know anywhere else

I don't see an issue with this. This would be convenient for sharing scratch projects with other people outside of scratch without needing to send a file or do any advanced stuff. However, if you do need to send a scratch project to someone in a compact way, keep in mind that sending the JSON of the project rather than the SB3 still works and saves a lot of space.

this could possible be used for private messaging. maybe make it automatically nfe instead of unlisting it? that way very few people other than the people who know the link will be able to get there
the solution is to pretty much make a new account make the thing there and share the link. since it's a new account and you aren't commenting or hearting and stuff no one will ever get to the project.

Scratch team doesn’t want to ban private messaging worldwide, just on scratch. Since this can’t be posted on scratch, that eliminates the risk of people using scratch for private messaging. this could possible be used for private messaging.
