Censoring shouldn't affect share dates

Changing the share date can cause confusions to which project is original, which leads to false reports and more auto censoring, also, some mass reporters want a project to be taken down to cause confusion, if we keep the original share date, it might reduce the number of mass reporting

Edit: This includes both auto censor and legitimate censoring by ST, as it could also cause confusion and sometimes ST censor things by mistake

Support. A good example of this is with the project Weekend

Support! I think a huge example of this is "Weekend", which now says it was shared on February 3rd, 2022 (or 3rd February, 2022).
Edit: I'm not the first person to mention Weekend…

I actually made a similar suggestion earlier, if it was implemented this wouldn't have happened

You're right, this is about censoring, not unsharing. Sorry.

You should know better, don't you spam across posts to tell people to close their topics if it's answered, and tell people to tell why they support?

This actually makes a lot of sense. The date shouldn't really be reset, as they were shared then. Should it change if the project was reshared if it wasn't taken down, or only if it was taken down? Should there be two different dates for “Originally Shared” and “Reshare Date”, the “Reshare Date” Only showing if it had been previously unshared?

I'll take that as an answer to my question, that answer being ‘this topic does not include unsharing by the project owner.’, which honestly seems like it would make more sense than it would including that. Thanks for the clarification.

Very constructive suggestion! I think there should be a original day posted for every project so they know when it was posted and the should also show when it was reshared if it was reshared.
