What are GDPR Accounts?
There's a regulation in Europe called GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which does more things for user privacy.
Some highlights:
People can request that their account and all their information is deleted from Scratch. Comments, username, forum posts, projects, join date, literally everything and anything that they made. When the account is deleted, the username is changed to gdpr + some number (probably the number of GDPRed accounts). Their join date is set to a date before Scratch had started development, their profile picture and projects are gone, and all of their data is gone to comply with the GDPR rules.
Some highlights:
- People can request data deletion of their account
- Those cookie banners you get on some sites? GDPR requires users to be notified when cookies are stored.
- More but I'm too lazy to search it up

https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/2804/?page=1#post-14811That's probably just a glitch with the system or something? I'm not sure. It might be on the Scratch Wiki though. But them why is there an 17 GDPR's Forum Post and profile pic but that profile is not there?

https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/2804/?page=1#post-14811The account is deleted. Deleting an account doesn't delete its comments or forum posts – the Scratch Team would need to do that manually if they wanted to. But them why is there an 17 GDPR's Forum Post and profile pic but that profile is not there?

The Wiki has a page on GDPR accounts that should explain what you need.

There's a regulation in Europe called “GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)” which does more things for user privacy.
So that would explain why Scratchers like grpd000001 account was created before scratch came out. When it was still in develoment, they (ST) needed something to test it out

I think you can't follow gdpr accounts is because they're really old. It was made before the release date.

No, they weren't made before Scratch 1.0. Whenever an account gets deleted with GDPR, it deletes all of the data. Even the join date. So it defaults to Y2K as the join date for some reason. I think you can't follow gdpr accounts is because they're really old. It was made before the release date.
Also, you can follow them: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/projects/359919416/
