Block categories are the way blocks are sorted in Scratch's block palette. Blocks are categorized based on their functionality, and blocks within the same category share the same color. The following are the block categories as of Scratch 3.0: Motion, Looks, Sound, Events, Control, Sensing, Operators, Variables (including lists), and My Blocks

What is the Scratch Wiki?
