no support just download the project rename it to a zip file unzip the zip file. locate the svg file for the costume, open the svg in a text editor and directly edit it. then save your changes to the svg, compress your folder into a zip file and rename to sb3. then upload into scratch. simple
Yes, very simple for majority of Scratch's demographic. I bet everyone will know how to do this!

Ghost effectwhat if you want part of the sprite to have more opacity than the other? Then you would need to split the parts which would take too much work for a small thing

Support! This would be helpful for almost anything. Games, Animations, etc.
I’m hoping this suggestion gets added either before or after 4.0. (also don’t yap about how 4.0 might not even release I know I know I KNOW

Anyways, I don't see why this would be either much of an issue to implement or that this would have any downsides.

although i use the turbowarp editor for drawing, it would be nice if scratch had a opacity slider so the sprites i import from turbowarp wouldn't get messed up when i accidentally fill bucket the parts i used the opacity slider for

Yes this would be so useful for thumbnails and you wouldnt have to make so many sprites then use the
set [ghost v] effect to (0)Block, the problam with that if that it gives the opacity to all the sprite, so support.

Bump. TurboWarp has this, and I would really like this coming to regular Scratch, and I don’t see any cons with adding an opacity slider. Support.

Bump again. A specific browser extension has this as a setting, however that browser extension’s setting doesn’t allow for the fill tool, unlike Turbowarp. (every identifier user for it must be completely unique, because using one twice would count as naming it. Yes, this is a SCP-4000 joke)
