The original poster stated it would base it on your system mode.
If a dark mode is added to Scratch though, it should probably base it on what color mode is selected.

This would make a lot more sense to use after Scratch adds a dark mode. Having a <dark mode?> reporter inside a light mode-only website is kind of weird
