Custom Profile/Studio comment emojis
DISCLAIMER:
This suggestion is not asking to add a new emoji of X.
What I'm suggesting:
I am suggesting custom emojis for profile and studio comments.
How this would work:
Basically, this would add a box which contains a set of custom emojis to profiles/studio comments. It would allow you to add emojis like this:

thank you my alt account airplanedodge for the screenshots
It would only work on the studio/profile they are added. For example the Firefox Club emojis would only work on the firefox club studio comments.
You would be able to add these emojis through a new upload panel on the profile page or studio. Mockup: TBA.
Why I want this:
It would add a nice touch to some fanclub studios (Like firefox club so we can use firefox emojis) and it would solve the issue for people wanting an X emoji… kinda.
Requirements:
Images should be less than or equal to 64x64px to prevent inappropriate emojis. The studio owner or the profile owner must be a Scratcher status, to further prevent inappropriate emojis (just like the forums)

So it's like YouTube membership — but you don't have to join, it's free, right?
So just reporting the comment with an inappropriate emoji would be enough right? to further prevent inappropriate emojis

no. since these would be set by the profile/studio owner there would be a new option in studio and profile reporting “Inappropriate custom emojis” So just reporting the comment with an inappropriate emoji would be enough right?

What would happen on the messages screen, if someone used a custom emoji? Would it load all of the emojis for the place the comment was from, to display them? What would happen if you received comments from many different places with different costum emojis?

I'm guessing that Scratch would store the images uploaded in a sort of database that can make it easier to display the images. What would happen if you received comments from many different places with different costum emojis?

Nice idea! Although I see a few issues with this.
How would it work to prevent people from spamming emojis?
People could basically just write in the studio description:
See?
And with this, you could upload innapropriately uses banned emojis, like the eggplant one, or just inappropriate. A Scratcher status may/won’t stop that.
And take into consideration what the Scratch Team would have to do to ban emojis. Like the eggplant example, they could ban one certain image, but there are millions of eggplant images that could be used inappropriately on the Internet.
All in all, this is a very nice idea, but it would be very spammy, easy to upload inappropriate images, hard to handle/moderate, and tricky to implement, so therefore, I’m going with no support.

There are a few problems with this idea:
-May take up a lot of server space
-Would be hard to moderate because lots of scratchers could easily upload inappropriate emojis.
-May cause lower-end devices to lag if there are lots of emojis
If this does get added, I want a limit on the amount of custom emjois. I think 10 is good.

Whilst I’m pretty sure emojis take little to none space, I agree that it seems to pile more work on the slim amount of scratch moderators which are already struggling with the pandemic. I just don’t see scratch adding a feature like this for now. There are a few problems with this idea:
-May take up a lot of server space
-Would be hard to moderate because lots of scratchers could easily upload inappropriate emojis.

I believe it would have to be manual. What’s the code that would allow, say, a Firefox Fan Club studio to be marked as a Firefox Fan Club?

This might make more work for moderators. What if there were an option to see a user's custom emojis, and then one could select one to report or copy?no. since these would be set by the profile/studio owner there would be a new option in studio and profile reporting “Inappropriate custom emojis” So just reporting the comment with an inappropriate emoji would be enough right?
Although, this would be pretty superfluous. I think I'm leaning toward thinking this would just create more work for the devs? Why not focus on bug fixes and site performance instead of custom emojis? In the long run, though, it could be fun.

Scratchers only, okay? -Would be hard to moderate because lots of scratchers could easily upload inappropriate emojis.
Umm, Firefox club is the name of a studio. what i was saying you can't for example use one studio's emojis on another studio. What’s the code that would allow, say, a Firefox Fan Club studio to be marked as a Firefox Fan Club?
yup, sounds correct This might make more work for moderators. What if there were an option to see a user's custom emojis, and then one could select one to report or copy?
