Read before posting a new topic! IMPORTANT!

Okay, recently, a lot of duplicate topics have been appearing. These are topics that are about the same exact thing. These are actually against the rules, although not directly stated in the guidelines.
Reasons not to create duplicates:
  • They can be very confusing, as someone might post in the wrong topic.
    They clutter up the forums.
    They support more duplicate topics if they don't get closed.
How to avoid posting a duplicate:
  • Use the search bar to search for any topics that are about what you are going to post.
    Read the Reading and Playing directory. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this, due to how little it's updated, and how long it takes to use.
What to do if you see a duplicate topic:
Get the link to the original topic, and post it on the duplicate.
I would also report it to get the ST's/moderator's attention, as simply just posting the link probably won't work.

Very good guidelines, although most people will not listen, but I love your effort for trying,maybe now that it's stickied people will notice but I'm not too sure

I agree, but duplicate forum threads due tend to be opened up in confusion or when the Scratcher isn't aware a similar forum already exists.
