play sound [You've probably seen enough of this on the forums, right? v]
say [It gets really annoying after a while. It's even discouraged.]
broadcast [I have a proposal to help stop this from happening. v]
*ahem*

If the majority of your post is Scratchblocks, a pop up will come up saying that Scratchblock spam is discouraged on the forums. It will then ask you if you want to post your message anyways, and will prompt you to click either yes or no (the no button being slightly larger in hopes to get more people to click on it… )

The message would not pop up in three circumstances:

On the Help with Scripts forum.
On the Scratchblocks testing topic.
When you are over 2 months old in terms of your Scratch age and you have more than 10 50 posts on the Scratch forums.

Any supporters?

A little more than 10 posts and I'm in. It's pretty easy to get 50 if you're active

Support for 1 and 2 but not 3.
No one should be allowed to spam ever.

But scratchblocks can be relevant in almost all the forums.
They can be relevant in:
  • Help with Scripts
  • Show and Tell
  • Project Ideas
  • Collaboration
  • Questions about Scratch
  • Suggestions
  • Bugs and Glitches
  • Advanced Topics
  • Connecting to the Physical World
And aside from that, it really isn't against the rules, and is nothing more than a small nuisance that can make it harder to read.

I second this.

Would it matter any way? You can still post your reply regardless.

say [no support]
ask [why] and wait
broadcast [ why]

when I receive [why]
say [what's wrong with it? I think it's really cool] for (2) secs

Sorry, I really don't see what's wrong with the above!

I don't think that there is much of a problem with the blocks, so no support.

Just because one of the Scratch Team ‘don’t mind it' it does not mean it should be done. Paddle2See didn't specifically say he LIKED it, he just said he thought it was ‘kinda cute’. I don't think it's cute, it's annoying and silly. Forums are for people to talk useing PLAIN TEXT, not scratch blocks. Scratch blocks are for making projects.
