Redesign for the Scratch homepage
This is why the new update is tras- I personally don't like the use of all that bright blue, it just makes the page look far too busy and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at.

Redesign for the Scratch homepage
I, for one rather like it. The colors look very user-friendly (and while I normally like stuff being not user friendly, this is a kids site so its better) and 3.0. However, the font seems different from the 2.0 version and I think the font is more playful and interesting from the current page. Also, a gradient could be added on the blue bars for the What's happening, Scratch News, Featured projects, Featured Studios, and all of the rows. (this is all just my opinion)
Great suggestion, and I support!
ahem ….. .. you don't like user friendly design?! User friendly design isn't just the UI. It's so it can be easier to navigate. Non-User friendly design (Like Amazon or The Scratch Forums) is when it's hard to navigate and requires full attention to get around. These design are called “Bad Designs”. Sorry if my post sounds aggressive, I'm just confused.

The ST is still working on 3.0 and an implication similar to this mockup might be coming to scratch. Although, I do like this example! Support.
