Half of the people on the forums already know what “nono word” means and I said “SA” in one of my comments on someone's profile before without getting muted, so I don't think it matters too much if the ST don't want us using the browser extension's real name since people can figure it out even it even if I just say “browser extension”: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/users/RokCoder/#comments-150711392 (Please don't report me for that!)

Scratch technically is barracading itself from the whole world of wonderful extensions.
SA is one of them - they are really good at making scratch better, scratchers have contributed 90+ features!
Scratch is mostly targeting SA IMO. SA hasn't stole any sessionIds and csrfTokens/tokens. Scratch should trust the community to share the right things. If something is bad, it should be taken care of by the ST.

What is this formatting? This doesn't make sense.

The part on the top left:
Firefox addons
XXXXXXX
Scratch X
XXXXXXX
Chrome Extensions
is meant to be a picture. The rest is the text:

What about the ST create an extension that manages user scripts/styles, and then starts to offer submissions of them, which they check and then put in the extension menu, where people can choose to activate them.

The ST could just implement it themselves

Unfortunately, rejected:

7.6 Improve or remove the extension policy
Browser extensions, userscripts, and userstyles are not allowed to be mentioned on Scratch as per the extension policy. Although such extensions may be useful, it is not easy to tell if the extension is harmful to your device. The Scratch Team believes that the potential risks and harm in allowing browser extensions outweigh the benefits, and are not looking for ways to improve this policy. This includes browser extensions, userscripts, and userstyles made by anyone, including Scratchers or well-known companies like Google.

that always confused me. why wouldnt they want to improve the extension policy? improving isn't really a bad thing, ever?

I understand that quote as “we thing it's good enough, so we won't improve it”.
