Looks like this topic is a duplicate of this.

Making emojis for Scratch is a difficult thing. For example, the was carefully made so that the face looks like its smiling although that is not the general use emoji!
You can make you own emojis though. Like I did (although mine looks terrible!)

If they update the emojis, they have to update the forums to a 3.0 style too.
Why is this?
It wouldn't fit the forum old 2.0 style so yea
If this suggestion linked was implemented, maybe you’d agree.

they'll probably just use the SVG icons, which will look fine shrunk.
I hate this misconception that SVGs will look fine when shrunk. They have to be converted to pixels to fit on your screen, so it will look identical from a PNG unless you zoom in a ridiculous amount.
Fdreerf you seem to be forgetting that this an actual emoji set, Theyre supposed to be shrunk so they can be used as actual emojis. They'll look fine.

The thing is that those image are huge; when shrunk down to the size of regular forum emojis they'll just look pixelated, except they'll look worse since they weren't designed at the size unlike pixel art. And if they use bilinear or nearest neighbor interpolation to shrink them down, it will look awful…
Just realized this doesn't matter anyways because they offer the emoji in 32x32 icons

Random? It's Joypixels! Anyways, I chose these specifically because it fits Scratch 3.0's aesthetic. Also, they're free to use. I think.

So you replaced the pixel art with slightly larger pixel art? Okay.
Also nice Lighting Ball. What? That's supposed to be a face?

Well, forum emojis are 15 by 15 so they'll still need to be shrunk, and usually emojis on other sites are meant to be much bigger than that. Pixel art will always trump anything else at this scale.
