What I'm suggesting is that when you select something in Bitmap or Vector mode, it shows the size of the selected part near the selected part in small text. For example: If I selected a square with 20x30 size in a 200x100 size costume, it'll say 20x30 near the 20x30 size square in small text.

I'd prefer if the size of a selected object(s) was next to the selection area rather than replacing the area that shows the full size of the costume. If I were to select something, I wouldn't look to that part of the costume editor first (the size of the costumes in small, gray text), but I'd much more easily notice it if it were in blue next to the selection area

For any math equations that would involve using the length of a certain part of the costume? I can't really think of any now that you mention it, but there could be some application.
