I think the staff have heard of this already (it was invented by graduates at mit media lab) and there is not really anything needed compatibility wise ( it uses contacts on the board to emulate spacebar, clicks, etc.

that's why you would need the octaves.

A few days after seeing this thread, I now have the makey makey It's awesome!
