Bring back the backdrop scroll blocks! Sign now!
Since the backdrop/scene scroll blocks used to be in the alpha version of Scratch 2.0, these blocks were used to look like this:
scroll right(0)::motionPlease click here to sign the project to bring these blocks back and make them work again!
scroll up(0)::motion
align scene[middle v]::motion//This would be "align backdrop" if these come back already.
(x scroll::motion)
(y scroll::motion)

You don't need these blocks. You can do this like this.
Or like the way it is done in this project.
forever
set x to (scroll X)end

The scrolling blocks were cool, but they were probably removed for a good reason.

You don't need these blocks. You can do this like this.forever
set x to (scroll X)
That would move a sprite normally, instead of scrolling the stage.

No need to create a project for people to sign. People just need to say support on the forum topic.
Anyway, I don't support as sprites can be used for the same purpose.

No support. Don't be lazy and do it yourself. And before you say I can't do it myself, have a link.

to be completely honest i love the ideas of this block, because as a sprite can't move 100% off the stage this would be the only way to create a smoothly transitioned tiled background.
the problem though, is how useful this block is compared to others, but the stage has no movement blocks and this could be used as a replacement.

You can always hide the sprite if it is supposed to not be on screen. to be completely honest i love the ideas of this block, because as a sprite can't move 100% off the stage this would be the only way to create a smoothly transitioned tiled background.

How would did this work? When you scroll the background halfway to the right, is the left half of the screen filled with white or half of the previous backdrop? If the latter, definite support. If the former, no support, as I see no practical use. If other, idk yet.

you really just need a sprite and make it fill up the whole screen and then do stuff like this
when green flag clicked
forever
if <key [ right arrow] pressed?> then
change [ scrollX] by (-5)
end
end
