I still think it should be optional, as Scratch's light mode isn't even that bad and some people may prefer it.
Heck, Discord is often criticised for having one of the most eye-strainiest light modes, yet they still let people choose it.

No support, I know some people don't like dark mode but some people like dark mode too. The people who don't like dark mode would prefer light mode and light mode is a more friendly and welcoming mode.

No support at all, this won't look good to new scratchers, and light is better, what if I need to see something that's black but the ENTIRE website is dark????

I like dark mode but I'm used to the Scratch light mode (because I've had it for years ). Plus, removing light mode would destroy the theme of blue and white that has been around probably since 2.0's beginning. There are browser extensions you can use to achieve this effect. No support, some of us don't follow the hive mind and actually enjoy light mode. PS if the light hurts your eyes, you could try turning the brightness down. Use your noggin.

yeah but i don't think that should switch to dark mode at first it was dark mode then it became grey before coming white

I use dark mode on every website, just not Scratch…

I have a browser extension with the option to enable dark mode, but using it proved that dark mode doesn't fit to well with the website (not including the editor) - something is just wrong about it. Dark mode doesn't work with Scratch's light-hearted feel
