Ban "Cursed Text"

Support. Cursed text, as you did state, is used for bypassing Scratch filters.
There are a lot of different variations of cursed text though, and it will take a while to block them all.
As everyone is saying:

NINJA’D 2 TIMES?!?!

Also, there are a lot of cursed text versions, finding and blacklisting all of them would take a lot of time.
You could just report the comment. I also agree with this idea:

This way, it can block any bad words, and people won't get stopped from saying innocent things.

I think this is implemented but for a different reason
spam
glitched text takes up a lot of space, like this text alone
I am just going to make it an image so I don't get into trouble

contains 379 characters

I do agree that “zalgo” text can be disruptive to the flow of a page. I think that you should report that regardless of whether or not it breaks any other rules, but I guess we'll have to ask a Scratch team member. (Also, why did you bold an image tag?)

No support. The text is pretty cool and you can report all instances of it being used in a bad way.

You can just report it.

As others have stated, bypasses can be reported, and I do agree with the idea that scratch can translate the “Cursed text.” However, yet again others have made a good point, doing all variations of that would take an extremely long time, so I think that scratch should translate some of them, and the rest can be reported if they break the guidelines.

It can, but I disagree with you on that first part of the second sentence. Unless it is intentionally breaking rules, I would warn, then report if the warning is not heeded.

A Scratch Team member (I think it was Za-Chary) once said something like “don't give out warnings yourself, less arguments are caused if you just report offending behavior immediately.” So make of that what you will.

Support if this is how that works:

1. Somebody posts a glitch text comment
2. The filter checks what it is in normal text and might remove parts or send an alert if it finds something
3. The comment is posted as glitch text.

This way it doesn't alter legitimate uses of glitch text but it filters out inappropriate glitch text.

It may be beneficial to create a filter that can effectively block any cursed text in order to improve productivity. Nevertheless, there is a valid concern that someone may eventually find a way to bypass the filter, rendering it ineffective.

GUYS, THIS ISN'T NEGATIVE, it's being suggested because it can be used to bypass filters.

That's a valid consideration. But, it's possible that they could use a font that appears similar to normal text but is not identified by the filter.

It will always be possible to bypass the filters.
Also, combining accents are necessary in some languages, like Vietnamese.

You can also use ZWNJ (‌) , ZWSP () , ZWJ (‍), or left-to-right override (‭), which are zero-widthed characters that can bypass the filter, so just use the report button.

No support
As an aesthetic scratcher
This will like take down 99.9% of aesthetic projects
Maybe that’s an exaggeration but still
A lot of aesthetic scratchers use those fonts (usually not the glitched ones, but other ones such as small text) in bios, projects, etc, it’s not fair to ruin it for everyone else just because some people abuse it. The report button exists anyways.

They’re talking about Zalgo text — the one that overlays combining characters to make it look glitchy (e̸̯͂x̷̧̃a̴̩̒m̵̙͗p̷̥̌l̶̼̏ē̷̡).

Small capitals, small text & all the others are not combining characters, as they do not affect the character in before. So if you mean any of these (ᴇxᴀᴍᴘʟᴇ, ᵉˣᵃᵐᵖˡᵉ, ₑₓₐₘₚₗₑ), this topic isn’t about that.

But in terms of inappropriate uses and not spam, what’s the difference between zalgo and others?
