User Pages

User pages are pages a user has. Each user can have up to 8 pages and you can use BBcode in pages. They can customize them freely, but they can only be created once a day. They look like little tabs at the top of the users pages, and have titles. The max characters is 4000 letters. When a page is reported three times, it automatically gets taken down, but if you report 4 pages on the same profile within 5 minutes you can't report any more. The filterbot works the same as comments. the url is scratch.mit.edu/users/___/(name of page). Name of pages are pre-writen, you can choose from ‘about me’ ‘my progress’ ‘What I like to do’ ‘Things I enjoy’ or ‘custom title’ Sorry I sound like I'm half asleep, I'm not. I'm actually 3/4ths asleep.
Here are some mockups I made:

That seems a bit overcomplicated and plus, you said that if someone reports a “user page”, it would get automatically taken down… what if you worked really hard on one only for it to get false reported and taken down? -or someone could just report it for fun

Maybe 3 reports.

…that would still technically be the same thing and have the same result.

i'm suspecting you got the idea from the scratch wiki
List some uses pls.

Yes. 3 separate people could false-report/report it for fun. Looking at scratch now, all the projects getting falsely taken down, people getting temp banned from false reports and reports for fun. It usually takes 10-20 or so reports for a person to get temp banned and for a project to get taken down. You say that 3 reports would be the number for a “user page” to get removed. It would hit 3 reports in less than a minute. (exaggeration)

The ability to add custom pages to your profile using BBCode.

So, like every user gets to make 8 webpages about themselves?
(I'm guessing the url would be like https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/users/exampleUser/pageNameHere)
Sounds real efficient on server space.. also where would the links to the pages be?

I'm going to clarify here.

no, I had the idea and then I went on the wiki and saw it was logically possible.
More room for people to talk about themselves, rather than using a project or studio.

A. It only takes one report for a moderator to see it.
B. it isn't like trending. you can only find these pages by going on the user profile.

not using BBCode, that's just a feature I'd like to see.

Yep (yes)
It's more efficient than having a million projects.
The links would be at the top of a profile, like little tabs.

But I'd be happy with just having a bigger About Me; and anyways I rarely check out people's full About Me's, so why would people be willing to check out 8 pages of BBCode from everyone?

How can you access these pages when in scratch without the url?

Although this suggestion sounds cool at first, I'm not sure if it's really that necessary. Based on how you described them, user pages seem to serve the same use as the “About me” and “What I'm working on” sections on user profiles, or the “Show and Tell” section of the forums.

If that's correct, there are two prominent alternatives I can think of. If users are looking for a place to explain more about themselves (“About me”) or what they're working on (“What I'm working on”), they can make their Featured Project a project for showcasing that (such as creating a slideshow or using the “Instructions”/“Notes and Credits” fields.)

The other alternative would be for users to create topics in the “Show and Tell” section of the forums to promote specific projects, studios, or maybe their profiles in general.

Besides, although we can add a “Report” button to these user pages, it's another part of the website for moderators to be concerned about (especially if they're a bit hidden.)

The automated moderation system is bad enough as is, I don't need to get temporarily banned because six people decided to falsely report my user pages. No support for now

you can't get banned for this, nor an alert. the pages just get taken down and reviewed.

I believe there are some links at the top of the page, like tabs or something
