[NOT REJECTED] a way to make bans public
this is not rejected. Read this.
it's me spocite, i think a user should be able to show if they are banned. it wouldn’t be required, as that’s rejected, but would be an option on the banned-response page. This would stop users from evading bans just to show they are banned, which is against the community guidelines and could get them banned again.
there would be toggle in account settings, and you could turn it on, and if you do, at the scratcher portion of a profile instead of saying “Scratcher” or “New Scratcher”, it would say “Banned _____”
that's about it
bye

Here's the quote: This is a rejected suggestion, see the complete list of rejected suggestions for more info.
8.4 Show when users are banned
For privacy reasons, the Scratch Team does not share such account information with anyone other than the account owner. In particular, a banned user may not want to reveal the fact that they were banned to the public.

Actually, no. it is NOT rejected. I mean the user can CHOOSE whether they want to show if they are banned. I have a quote from @za-chary saying it's not rejected, but I lost track of it :lHere's the quote: This is a rejected suggestion, see the complete list of rejected suggestions for more info.8.4 Show when users are banned

This is not a rejected suggestions. If he said "ALWAYS show when a user is banned, then yes, it would be rejected. But having the ability to show if you are banned or not is NOT a rejected suggestion, you can discuss it here.
Jeez it sounds so much like what I said would be listing the rejected suggestion.

Right, an optional way to show blocked status is not rejected (yet), so far as I know.

According to the following quote, It's rejected. Right, an optional way to show blocked status is not rejected (yet), so far as I know.
The Scratch Team has considered your idea, and rejected it for the following reason.8.4 Show when users are banned For privacy reasons, the Scratch Team does not share such account information with anyone other than the account owner. In particular, a banned user may not want to reveal the fact that they were banned to the public. In the future, please read The Official List of Rejected Suggestions before posting. According to the following quote, It's rejected.
As it's been explained many times, an OPTIONAL way to show if you are banned is different, and not rejected.

I'll jump in here and also say that nowhere in the quote above does it say that an optional way to show when you are banned is rejected. If a banned user does want to reveal the fact that they were banned to the public, then I don't see any issue.According to the following quote, It's rejected. Right, an optional way to show blocked status is not rejected (yet), so far as I know.8.4 Show when users are banned For privacy reasons, the Scratch Team does not share such account information with anyone other than the account owner. I would imagine, however, that we might not be keen to show why users were banned — especially if they were banned for extremely inappropriate activity.

That makes sense. A simple “I've been banned” text would suffice for me. Also, how would this show up? As a pop-up? In their About me?

I don't like this idea, As some scratchers do not want to let others know they were banned.

But some do! And the point of this is to allow the ones who do, to do so.

You can't even get into a banned account without being block by the ban note. The only thing you can go to is But some do! And the point of this is to allow the ones who do, to do so.this.

Maybe a little button, like the button that allows you to turn comments on/off? “Show whether I am banned or not”
