So, every time you sign into a new device there will be a notification sent to you on the email verified with your account asking if it was you who signed into that device.
Or maybe if someone attempts to guess your password but has failed many times- then a notification would be sent?

That thread is talking about 2FA, this one is talking about a “Suspicious Activity” message, sorta like Gmail.

I think you have a good idea, with that email thing. Then, nobody would be able to hack into your account and ruin your projects

i'm saying that even though it's a great idea, the fact that there isn't anything in place to prevent the intruder from getting into your account (other than a password, and that can be easily guessed) makes the whole thing pointless to add.

i know but my point is why would you have the ability to see if someone is trying to break into your account if you can't stop them?

Don't have your password compromised and you'll never need this.
