Have you ever wanted to contact the ST but then turned away because you were hesitant about giving out your email? If you have, read this!

This suggestion is suggesting to have a option for the contact us messages to go to your messages box! There could be a link in your messages box that redirects you to a page with the conversation! The automated messages would appear there too. (See Mockup B) This would be useful for people who don't want to give out their emails, but still want to contact the Scratch Team. It would also be useful if your email like mine is cluttered or you don't check it much. It also helps if you use your parents email for Scratch because you don’t have your own. If the checkbox is selected, the user won't need to enter a email.

Also, this will not change the time messages will be responded to.

After a user clicks a link in the messages tab, they will be redirect to a image that looks something like this:

If the user is banned, the link to the page where you can reply and see replies from the Scratch Team will be on the ban page, or it would be unavailable for banned users.

support. I don't see the messages until like a week after I get them because my email isn't usually used.

Great idea! I don't use my email often, and like p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p said, I don't check it very often, leaving the response sitting for a while before I read it. I believe it would be a reasonable alternative to giving out an email.

Support, I only used Contact Us once, and this would be helpful. Maybe I actually would use Contact Us a lot more often.

I was going to suggest this a very long time ago, but I thought it would be rejected.

Support. The email I gave for my account is the same one I give to every website, and I hardly ever check it. It also has a slightly questionable name, so I'm uncomfortable about giving it out. This feature could also help kids whose parents put in their emails and whose inbox's are full of junk and work stuff. This would be very helpful!

Support. Some people don't have emails and too embarrassed to borrow an email, like yesterday. I was helping someone send a contact us thing yesterday, but he didn't have an email and didn't want to ask his parents.

You'd probably get a faster response from commenting on their profile anyway.

No, the ST doesn't want people reporting stuff on their profiles.

Support! I hardly ever check my E-Mail (it's not like I need to, I'm only 11), but I check my Scratch notifications every 5 minutes. So yeah, support!

Support! I don't usually use my other gmail account which was the one I used to verified this account and send mails to the ST from Contact Us because I'm using my school gmail most of the time, and I don't really check the mails there most of the time, so it would be really helpful to me and would save some time.

I recall making a similar suggestion a few years back.

Also, if you sent them an email, would you want to check your inbox more often because you anticipate getting an email?

Spoilers for life in general: Get used to having an email. I have to use it all the time, especially for more formal occasions where you have to write to teachers and colleagues. It's going to make your life so much easier if you know how another way (which is more of a formal letter style than messaging) to communicate with people over the internet.

Scratch is having too many emails, so if they won't respond to you, you normally just bump the email (post in it), but i am not sure if what you're suggesting would allow scratchers to do that. Here's my mock-up design:

You could always just reply to your message saying “Hey there, just wondering, what's the status of my ______”

Oh yeah… maybe if you’re blocked/banned you can get to that link through the screen that says you’re blocked?
