2nd screen?

This is probably the craziest, stupidest, most ridiculous idea I could've thought of.
Why not make it so there's like, an option to have a second screen? Sort of like the Nintendo DS? The top one is just for animation and other things, while the bottom one is for controlling the game or whatever you are doing.
I'm real bad at explaining it, so just take the DS as an example of what it would be.

It could be really useful for making really cool games, similar to DS games like Cooking Mama or Animal Crossing: Wild World

I mean you could program your own second screen from within the Scratch editor, but where's the fun in that?

that would make each screen like, really stretched out

I'm all for ridiciously horizontal aspect ratios. 2:1 > 16:9

i think for two screens, it would be cool if you could connect a wiiu gamepad for the 7 people who owned a wiiu

I don't play DS or even know what that is so I have no idea what you're talking about, are you saying you could be working on 2 projects at once, in one tab?

It's an old console.
On the DS…
There's two screens, one on the bottom, one on the top.
The bottom one is where you would normally control things
The top one is like, animations.
For example, there's an Animal Crossing game on the DS. The sky is on the top screen for seeing if there's balloons in the sky. The rest of the game is in the bottom screen.
This suggestion is adding that sort of thing to Scratch.

If it automatically adjusts to have the second screen in the bottom and the first screen in the top on the ASUS Zenbook Duo,

then take my instant 100000000000% support.

And maybe other dual screen laptops. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

yeah, that has the 2 screens on it
thats what this suggestion is

it could be useful in this way:
i made a project (here is link) and it makes you do mini-games in the corner
with this suggestion, it could have 2 screens, one for hiding and one for doing the mini-games

You could have resizable windows and you can move the windows around kinda like how it is in Blender

that wouldn't be the same thing
that would be 2 different projects
this is only 1 project, but you control 2 different screens at the same time, like the DS.

Bump I guess as it's on the 268th page?
Support, I love DS's, and I could see why you would want this.

Semi-support. Scratch is a programming language, not a Nintendo DS devkit. Personally I find this suggestion not very useful.
