I have a number of physical input/output devices. I can get them to work with 1.4 installed on my machine - but when I switch to online 2.0 they do not work.
Any hints and tips?

What devices? The first post of this thread lists all the known extensions. If there's not a Scratch 2 extension for the devices then you'll have to write one.
