Strengthen Scratch Remixing Policy.
The Scratch remixing policy goes against many artists' views. They don't want others to recolour or trace their art. It's understandable, but goes against the remixing policy.
The Scratch Team needs to add some phrases commonly used in art policies to the filter like “Do not use my art”, “Don't use my art”, “Dont use my art”, “Do not recolor”, “Don't recolor”, “Dont recolor”, “Do not recolour”, “Don't recolour”, “Dont recolour”, “Do not trace”, “Don't trace”, “Dont trace”, “Do not reference”, “Don't reference”, “Dont reference”, “Do not ref”, “Don't ref”, “Dont ref”, “Use with permission”, “with permission”, and “w/ permission”. This will lower the number of policies by a lot.
Additionally, if someone gets around the filter by using methods that I won't tell here so it won't be exploited, they would get an alert looking similar to this:

That's it!

I would say support because in the Scratch motto (or whatever it is):
Imagine, Program, ShareThe share part is really important. If you are not wanting remixing, then you can not share. Those words can be reported. Anyone breaking the Share part of Scratch, report the project, but with this this would help the ST better because they don't have to look at more reports.

And program is a key word here too.
This is a programming website, not an art website.
People just can't seem to understand that Scratch is not required to protect it's artists because we're technically not even supposed to be here in the first place.

I'll have to strongly disagree with the “not an art website” Sure, Scratch is not entirely an art website, but, they have a literal ‘art’ section in the explore page. Also, I get that people think that artists should calm down, and that its the artists choice whether they should post or not, but here's the deal: Many artists here on Scratch are young, and are not able to use other sites that protect their art, such as Toyhou.se, Deviantart, etc…in which they will have to be 13+ to use. So, young artists don't have anywhere to go other than Scratch, there, in my opinion are not enough safe sites for young artists that actually protect their art.
(Sorry in advance, this totally turned into a rant ;-

I say that it's not I'll have to strongly disagree with the “not an art website” Sure, Scratch is not entirely an art website, but, they have a literal ‘art’ section in the explore page.not an art site, but the original intents were for coding, not art. partially agree with you and agree that art has grown into Scratch.

But… can't I politely ask people not to recolour / trace my art without credit? “Please don't recolour without giving credit” isn't a horrible thing to say, and it doesn't go against the remixing policy ^^

Sorry, no. Everything on Scratch is free for everyone to use. But… can't I politely ask people not to recolour / trace my art?

Oops, meant to write “without giving credit”. And I can’t even express a preference for not tracing?

Saying “don't retrace my art” is not allowed. I think DevianArt has a policy of “everything you create is only for you, you can only use other peoples art with their consent or else it's copyright.” Oops, meant to write “without giving credit”. And I can’t even express a preference for not tracing? But don't quote me on it, and I am not a copyright lawyer.
If you truly hate people using your art, you can make art on DevianArt. If someone uses your DevianArt Creation on Scritch without credit, you can file a DMCA takedown notice.

I know about DeviantArt, but my parents think it’s inappropriate (and I agree, having browsed the front page - I’m never going to recover xD)
As for the “don’t retrace my art” thingy, I just wondered: are you allowed to just say something along the lines of “tracing my art without credit makes me sad, so please remember to give credit!”

This is a really good idea. It is not OK in Scratch to tell people they can't use your art.

You actually have to give credit for everything you use on Scratch, so that actually isn't needed. Report any project using your content without credit. A Walmart may sell shoes in one section, but saying “Walmart isn't a shoe store” wouldn't stir much debate. It's the same situation I'll have to strongly disagree with the “not an art website” Sure, Scratch is not entirely an art website, but, they have a literal ‘art’ section in the explore page.

Full support. I think that it needs to be made clear that all shared work is licenced under CCSA 2.0 and therefore can be used with due credit.

You read OP wrong. No support. On scratch you can use anything in your work as long as due credit is given.
