I think they should make it so Mindstorms NXT is compatible with Scratch. Think of the POSSIBILITIES! I totally don't just want this so I can make my Mindstorms project at school easier.

Try out Enchanting, based on BYOB which was based on Scratch.

I just used Enchanting to teach a nice NXT class, but it was a bit buggy and dated. It works, but it can be a struggle (like anything involving hardware).

This simulates a simple NXT shooter bot with light sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and two bump sensors on the front. Students can program an autonomous procedure to navigate an obstacle course, avoiding solid objects and staying in bounds to find the dinosaurs and shoot them. It lets them work on some logic without the headache of the actual hardware. The initial robot position and direction change, as does the position of the obstacle, so they have to have robust logic.
