have authorized access from the Scratch Team for embedding (leagal issue in a way)
I didn't suggest this because there is a problem with this on Scratch, but a problem with…other websites. I have found some websites that have stolen Scratch projects with no credit! That is illegal (violation of the Creative Commons). As a solution, I suggest websites have authorized access from the Scratch Team for embedding . This will result in websites illegally importing Scratch Projects to have the Scratch Project Crash with an error saying “embedding here is not approved by the Scratch Team”. In no way should this harm Scratch, you can remix, right?

I guess you can dump that stuff. It's one of the hardest things ever to make something executable but not readable.

There isn't much the ST can do about embeded Scratch Projects without credit (something that is illegal under the Creative Commons). I guess you can dump that stuff. It's one of the hardest things ever to make something executable but not readable.

I'm quite surprised you suggested this. Scratch's whole goal is remixing. And BTW, this would make it impossible to make ‘hacked’ blocks. (yes, there is the offline editor but who still uses it? We're in 3.0, not 1.4)…yes? Uh…

Remixing and Downloading are two different things. Who creates hacked blocks now anyway?I'm quite surprised you suggested this. Scratch's whole goal is remixing. I mean, when you load a scratch project, the server sends all the data to you, right? Right. There isn't much the ST can do about embeded Scratch Projects without credit (something that is illegal under the Creative Commons). I guess you can dump that stuff. Still, How do the ATers hack blocks? And project downloading is extremely helpful for lots of stuff (like transferring a project to an alt account).Remixing and Downloading are two different things. This is like the eggplant emoji. Sometimes you have to remove the whole thing to solve a problem.Still, How do the ATers hack blocks? Downloading is useful. I found a bug the other day with monitors after looking at the json in the downloaded project.
I have also used it recently to transfer projects from one account to another.

How about you need an account to download stuff. or maybe be a scratcher.

This wouldn't solve any problems with other sites illegally reusing projects at all, because at least on the one site I saw this on, the project was embedded, not hosted on the illegal site's servers. (This is probably some sort of liability thing.)
You could suggest that embedding be disabled, but I'm sure that there are a number of sites legitimately using embedded Scratch projects, and disabling embedding would break all of those.

still though, i don't think you can embed scratch projects by downloading them, if that's what the website shows. The ST can't do much about it. And just report it for no credit!THIS IS ON ANOTHER WEBSITE WITH A STOLEN SCRATCH PROJECT
