Hi! I love Africa, especially places like Cape Town and Johannesburg in SA (CA). Can you please remind me of the languages the “black” Africans use? I could not find a better word for that, sorry.

My dad was born in Africa and I have always loved it. I went there when I was 18 months and I really want to go again.

You are probably thinking of isiXhosa. There are more non-European languages in South Africa, like:

1. isiZulu
   
2. isiXhosa
   
3. Sepedi
   
4. Setswana
   
5. Sesotho
   
6. Xitsonga
   
7. siSwati
   
8. Tshivenda
   
9. isiNdebele

These are just the official ones, so there are probably more.

Depends, there are quite a few local languages in more rural areas, and Afrikaans and English are spoken mostly in cities.
