Scratch Forum Leaderboards (the old version of postpercent) is still available for use

Have you ever wanted to know who has the most forum posts but don't want to use a website that we can't talk about since it shows deleted posts? Have you ever looked at scratchstats and thought Yeah where's the forum data?

Congratulations - I made a website where you can do that. Thanks to some new endpoints added to the ScratchDB API (thank you Lefty the big data man) The “Forum Categories” section allows you to view the Top 100 posters from either the entire forums or from one specific forum:

“What? You can do that?”
The users section allows you to see in more detail the number of posts, rank and post count history of a particular user:

You can also see the amount of posts and the posts per month across someone's foruming career, or their posts per week for the last 12 months:



I also added some of the funny in there - if you find one of the funny you are advised to laugh.

i find this very cool btw i should have mentioned that.

also perhaps a suggestion so you know how it makes random colours to make it easier to tell stuff? perhaps the code for that could be replaced with something from this? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43193341/how-to-generate-random-pastel-or-brighter-color-in-javascript then the colours are nicer or something idk

Usernames should probably be case insensitive. Currently this works but this doesn't, although it does show my profile picture.

i guess this could be done by getting the correct capitilazation from the api (it says it there) or just getting lefty to make his api case insenstive

I actually do use a HSL to RGB function for my random color generation, I've just got the colors a bit darker to more closely match the dark theme of the site.

The normal ScratchDB user ranking system (on ScratchStats) operates using username to ID through MySQL (it doesn't care about case as much), and then that ID is used to look up a user's ranking and information in a separate system that normally would be case sensitive, but since it's how an ID it doesn't matter. The forums system on the other hand still operates using usernames in a case sensitive way. You may have noticed that requests to usernames that aren't in correct case don't load, that's because the initial verification of if a user has any posts is done in MySQL (which doesn't care about case), so the initial verification succeeds, but once it gets to actually looking up the username in the ranking system, it can't find it since JS is very case sensitive. I'll move this system to be ID based soon so it can be used case-insenstively, and hopefully some time in the future I can find a way to detect deleted/edited posts so ranking and information stays up to date (and so that data that people want removed can be removed more easily).
