THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS BLOCKING USERS! I KNOW THAT HAS BEEN REJECTED
So my suggestion is to “hide” users. It is hard to explain but I will try…
Suppose a certain user makes content that doesn't break the community guidelines, but you just don't want to see it. Like for example some people don't like projects that are just still art with no coding, and some people think platformers are overrated. Or, if you are scared of bugs and a certain person likes to make projects about insects.
So I suggest there should be a “hide user” button on each user's page, maybe next to the report or follow button? If you “hide” a user, their projects will no longer show up in search results or studios. This will just be for you of course- other people will still be able to see that user's projects in searches/studios, but just not you. Also you can still see the user's comments if they comment on your profile or projects. The user will have no way of knowing you hid them. You would be able to “unhide” a user at any time as well if you change your mind.
This will prevent people from leaving rude comments on things they don't like, instead giving them the option to just “hide” that stuff away. Let me know if you have any thoughts!

Would they still be able to see the projects if they went to the user's profile?

I haven't thought of that… Maybe there would be a pop up stating “You have hidden this user. Would you still like to see their profile?” and then yes/no options.

I support. You explained it well.
Do you have any ideas on how to make it better though?

Well, to be honest, I don't really see the difference between blocking and hiding a user. Could you explain more?

You would still be able to see their stuff if you tried really hard. It's sorta like NFE'ing. Well, to be honest, I don't really see the difference between blocking and hiding a user. Could you explain more?

Yes. You would still be able to see COMMENTS by them (and projects if you hypothetically tried hard) but the projects would be gone from search results and studios (for you)You would still be able to see their stuff if you tried really hard. So you'd be able to see their comments and forum posts, it'd just be harder to find their projects?
Support, if that is the case.

No. You would still be able to see their comments and forum posts, just not projects unless you had the link. It is the same as blocking users. No difference

Please say why you support. Suggestions are added based on supportwhy people support, not how many support.

Yes I agree! There are certain things on Scratch that don't break the Community Guidelines, but I feel uncomfortable seeing it because of my religion. So this is a really good way to avoid seeing things that are inappropriate only for certain users

What do you mean? I haven't been involved in any of these “flame wars” you are talking about, I'm just saying people should be able to hide stuff they don't like seeing. let me guess, flame wars from 1 month ago are back
