No support, I feel motivated when I look at my stats.

Semi.
Would saying “I have XXX followers” to let others know how close they are to a celebration be allowed?
I think it should be more “only focus on fame if you want to focus on fame.” The stats would be hidden, but users would be allowed to say how many somethings they have.

I have a project that does not celebrate or do anything with the follower count, just displays it.

Please read the original post- I'm not suggesting to completely get rid of the stats.

Now, you may be wondering about the “Thank You For x Followers” projects and any project or studio that celebrates some sort of milestone. I honestly don't think it would be fair to not let people celebrate these things, so I suggest that any project, studio, or comment that is sincerely celebrating a milestone, and is not jeering or bragging such as by saying things like “I have so many followers!” or “OH WOW! LOOK HOW MANY FOLLOWERS I HAVE!!”, are allowed.

bunt? lol
I like this idea. I think that it would lower the amount of people going ‘I HAVE MORE FOLLOWERS THAN YOU, YOU SUCK!1111!!!!’

Since the stats are stored somewhere on the server, shouldn't it still be possible to retrieve them?

I want to say that this type of topic is overused.

I think followers views, loves and favs are used a lot for comparison among Scratchers.

However, I have two things to counter with that.
1. Scratch is a social website, and a lot of it is about the community. It's what sets apart Scratch from other online coding platforms.
2. They're used for much more than comparison. They're a good way of finding good Scratchers and projects as well.

But who's going to go through that? Heck, people complained about clicking a button to see how many projects they had-

I'm not sure what you mean- I'm suggesting a way to improve Scratch.

But just because it is a social media platform doesn't mean it has to be like other social media platforms.

True, and I think keeping the bar seen on our profiles should stay, so that would still allow others to find other Scratchers.

scratchstats.com already exists, and you'd think that if Scratch were to remove the ability to see stats, word would spread on how to see them.

And even if the website was taken down, there's still this.
