They bumped their own suggestion thread. I think that's like, the furthest a post could possibly get from being a necropostPlease don’t necropost Hi from half a year later, I have decided to bump this

Edit: wait, was it already on the first page? Sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.

This won't happen as it goes against the Scratch creative commons license. In this license, it said that the ST and others can do anything with the material on the website (eg. People can remix the project, and the ST can put it on the front page etc)

Key word: CAN. Scratch doesn't need to have your project on the front page, and I don't see why they would go out of their way to not allow users to choose whether or not it can be. I don't get the point here, they can do anything with the material on the website, as well as others. I think this is going against the creative commons.Key word: CAN. Ah yes, it's like the Scratch Team has to put your projects in the front-page everytime or the ST will kill you and your own family.I don't get the point here, they can do anything with the material on the website, as well as others. The Scratch Team should respect that a user might not want their project front paged. I know I certainly don't want mine front paged, I mean as neat as it would be, I just don't want all the messages that come with it.
So while they yes, they can do anything with the content inside the project, they should respect a user's wishes if they don't want it front paged.

Interesting suggestion. It could be useful for people who are famous and share a test, but want to save room on trending and the front page.

There isn't any cons, but I could see people ignoring it because they want to get more famous

I would still like to reiterate my point; chances are that you will never get front paged anyway. If you were popular enough to get on the front page most of the time, you would have that to worry about that even if you set your projects to not be front paged as you still have a large following.
If you aren't, the only real way to get front paged is either the SDS which is optional to participate in, and only a few get front page; get curated on a whim which you can prevent by telling the FPC to not curate you, or get featured, which you have a 0.0000125% (basically 0) chance of each month.

By that logic the Scratch Team can also edit your project notes whenever they want, but you don't see them running around writing descriptions on other people's projects. Creative Commons means that people can do what they want with your project, not that they need to or that you can't ask them not to if they give you a channel with which to do so. Yes, Scratch Team CAN display your project on the front page. Nothing about it says that they can't let you opt out either. Do you understand this or do I need to call in a Scratch Team member to explain it further?I don't get the point here, they can do anything with the material on the website, as well as others.
