“Former Scratch Team Member” Ranking
Semi support, the people who served Scratch, and contributed everything they got should get it. What if some Scratch employee was trying to ruin Scratch? Then, they would not deserve this rank in my opinion.

Yeah, I don't think such people would get this rank. Semi support, the people who served Scratch, and contributed everything they got should get it. What if some Scratch employee was trying to ruin Scratch? Then, they would not deserve this rank in my opinion.
Nope: No, it's the former scratch team member color so it is on topic.
Honestly i think Scratch team members should have a yellow name and a former one should have the asterisk

Okay, what I do find strange is why everyone is wondering what if someone in the ST did the bad? Having the oppoturnity to work on a large project at one of the world's most prestigious universities (or more recently the Scratch Foundation, however that works) isn't exactly something I'd want to waste by doing something really stupid Semi support, the people who served Scratch, and contributed everything they got should get it. What if some Scratch employee was trying to ruin Scratch? Then, they would not deserve this rank in my opinion.

At least put them on https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/credits, with a link to their account.
Otherwise, it might feel a bit like when you work really hard on a project, and someone remixes it without credit, and gets popular for it or when you are in a collaboration and you get no credit on the final project.
Also, colours may be a problem, as some parts of Scratch don't allow color changes (and the API)

I support. Former Scratch Team members had a huge impact, and need more recognition for their hard work.
In my opinion, I think that there should be a ! at the end of the user's username. The reason why, as I view it, is that it represents, “Woah! This Scratcher worked hard to keep Scratch safe and fun! This user needs recognition!”
It highlights the hard work the user put into Scratch, and stands out from other users.

I found out another reason why this would be useful!
So I made a post in questions about scratch asking who the first non-ST Scratch Account was, and people are having trouble figuring it out. A lot of the users they’re suggesting are former Scratch Team members, but they couldn’t tell that because they were just shown as regular Scratchers.
If the former ST member ranking was added, then it might be easier for us to figure out the answer!

“Former Scratch Team Member” Ranking
Support.
For one, it would prevent former Scratch Team member impersonation, and for two, it makes perfect sense to still give them some sort of name. Like OP said, it feels off to just make a user who has contributed so much to the community a Scratcher. Maybe, if the retired Scratch Team member didn't want to leave any trace that they were one and that they wanted to continue as a normal Scratcher, they could request the Scratch Team to not put the title.

Support! I have an idea, it can only be given by current ST members and can only be given if the person who will get it consents to getting it.

Support. This will help people see if someone was truly a former scratch team member, which, while it would be a small change, could help former ST members get more respect and recognition.

I don't think specific colors are necessary for either. For a current Scratch Team member, an asterisk is enough. For former ST members, they do not need a symbol. Since they are not a contributing member of the ST, a symbol would probably cause confusion. I think the rank is enough. Plus, you can't put colors in comments, but you can put asterisks in. With an asterisk, you can point out that they are ST; but with a color, you can't.

This is a really good idea. Former Scratch Team members need more recognition, as they helped Scratch to get where it is now. The only concern that I have is that Former Scratch Team Member seems a bit long, especially on the forums (see bellow).
Example:

That is way to long. It even goes onto another line. Could we think of a shorter name?

“Former Scratch Team Member” Ranking
Here is some names I came up with feel free to give feedback: -snip-
That is way to long. It even goes onto another line. Could we think of a shorter name?
These are reference words for size
Scratcher
New Scratcher
Scratch Team
Not good based off feedback
These are roughly the right size
Ex-Scratch Team Member
Former Scratch Team Member
Past Scratch Team Member
Former Member of the ST
Former ST member
Past ST member
Former Scratch Team
Past Scratch Team
More to be added if anyone can think of any alternatives
Notes: I feel saying just Scratch Team feels a bit incomplete but I would be open to debate on this.
Retired doesn't fit as its definition is: having left one's job and ceased to work.
