DuckDuckGo has a great search feature that works really well. I suggest you to add this to the feature. You (the Scratch Team) can customize it easily. Here is the link to it-

The forums previously had Google CSE. Google would steal your information but DuckDuckGo will not.
Therefore, I suggest you to add DuckDuckGo Search to the forums.

Mega Support! Why should all our information be collected while we innocently use Scratch? (even though I already have it installed) Add duckduckgo!

I think DuckDuckGo would probably be our best bet. Google quite frankly can't be trusted, and the Google CSE forum search wouldn't work for everyone, as it is banned in some countries (like China).

Google was fined for the record amount because of unfair advertising and selling user's information. If the ST can trust them then why cannot they trust DuckDuckGo?

Support. Why would we let all our information go to Google? Let us just use DuckDuckGo even if I never used it and don't know what it is lol

I don't really care about Google collecting data about me.

It's more about who they sell the data too really. I don't really care about Google collecting data about me.

Yeah, Google sells your information, what your coupon will not do. The coupon does not also collect the kind of information Google collects. It's more about who they sell the data too really. I don't really care about Google collecting data about me.

For example, @world_languages site, scratchstats, knows what browser and OS you are using because it purchases the information from Google.Yeah, Google sells your information, what your coupon will not do. Nope, that's not how it works. It's publicly available information from Scratch's API and you would've found that out by going to the bottom of the page. For example, @world_languages site, scratchstats, knows what browser and OS you are using because it purchases the information from Google.Yeah, Google sells your information, what your coupon will not do. Plus, every webpage knows what OS/Browser you're using because it needs that info to properly display pages.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 81.0.4044.138, No Flash version detected
