So, wanna get banned? We need to know that blocking accounts is working on the 2.0 site. When blocked, you should get redirected to a ban page no matter where you try to go, as long as you are logged in. You can still log out, and browse the site, but when logging in with your banned account, you should only be able to see the ban page.

(BTW - the current banpage you'll see is just a placeholder - we're going to add a lot more info to it, and a way to appeal in the page, before the release. But for now, we just want to make sure blocking is working.)

If you don't mind getting banned and testing things out for us, just let me know here. Mention the name of one of your test accounts. I'll enable that, so you can login with it, and then I'll ban it and post here to let you know.

Ok - fair enough. If you get banned, you get to keep your test account.

Ok - tomtheipad is 1) enabled, and 2) banned.

Let us know what happens if you are banned, and if you can see anything other than the ban page while logged into the banned account.

wes64test is my test account, you can go ahead and ban it but id like it back. also will i still have access to it once it gets un-banned? i have been wanting to use it for cloud-data experimenting.

I don't think I'd be of much assistance in getting banned since there are so many others already volunteering, but just remember to allow access to these pages if you haven't already done so:

logout page
the CSS styles
the images
the favicon

Do keep in mind that even if you forgot to allow one of the above it may still have worked for the first banned testers because of the browser's cache… which doesn't last forever!

I think they are done testing the ban function. But the main reason I post, is because I find the topic id “403” ironic to the title (Error 403).
