How to make open world games!!!
Hoi! This is a guide for making open-world games!!!
Part 1: What is an open world game?
Open-World Games are games that have a plot, but have many ways to finish it and most tasks are optional.
Some things to keep in mind are:
What will the player of your game do? Players are unpredictable, so you have to keep an open mind of what people will do, and keep barriers to a minimum, otherwise it's not open ended.
How will the story play out? Is your game choice based? Item based? make sure to make events based on potential endings of your plot, and keep it consistent, people won't be overwhelmed as much!
Part 2: Production
Step 1: Make a story board
It's best to keep your game organized, so write out possible endings!
Step 2: Sprites and Code
Now it's the fun part! Draw sprites of characters reacting to possible events, and code in ai for monsters/enemies if you have them, if you want to make even more of an open world game, you can increase the difficulty based on what a player has done!
Step 3: Share!
Now it's time for players to play you game! Find studios where you can add any project to get people to know about your work! You can even request for it to be curated! Look at feedback and update your games based on what people seem to enjoy!
I hope this guide helps you!

How to make open world games!!!
Nice, but this forum is about project ideas. Since this wouldn't really go in “Help With Scripts” because it doesn't ask for help, it doesn't really belong in the forums. Maybe you could create a project tutorial and post it on the “Show and Tell” topic, if anything.
