Custom Emojis on Forums
I would really like custom emojis on forums.
It's actually boring when there are just 12 emojis. I think Scratch would be 1000 times better if we had custom emojis.
So, I'm sharing my mockups!

On the bottom of the emoji dropdown, there should be a button with a blue + icon named “New emoji”.

This is the emoji maker. Notice that the circle on the color selector is the selector of colors.

Once the new emoji is made, it will appear on the emoji dropdown only for the user who made it.
Custom emoji can only be used by the user who made it, not by everyone else.
Also, custom emojis have their own code, like:
Mockups made in paint.net
So, what do you think about my idea? Post your thoughts below.

No support. This is not a necessary feature; if users want to make custom emojis, they can upload a small picture onto the forums instead.

But you would have to upload a link every time you would like to use your own emoji… No support. This is not a necessary feature; if users want to make custom emojis, they can upload a small picture onto the forums instead.

Two users can make two different emojis, assign the same tag to them, and both post their emojis on the same topic. However, I think that there is a problem: in order for BBCode to render two distinct emojis properly, there have to be two different tags.
Therefore, I suggest that no two emojis can have the same tag, and when you assign a used tag to your emoji, something like this pops up:

Sorry, this tag is already used. Try changing it.Of course, there can be a system which determines how should each emoji be rendered based on the username and the tag, but I believe that it would use more server space.

How would you ensure that inappropriate images couldn't be made?

Scratch Team would just block the tag so the owner of the tag couldn't use it anymore. How would you ensure that inappropriate images couldn't be made?

The inappropriate image would be also restricted - so any user can't make any new emoji with the new tag and the inappropriate emoji. But then couldn't you just make the same inappropriate image with a new tag?Scratch Team would just block the tag so the owner of the tag couldn't use it anymore. I thought that we can already say everything with existing emojis. I thought that we will soon start using a logographic system, just like the Egyptians who lived 4000 years ago, and that either most people forget what is an alphabet, or wil rite laik thiz. I thought that the average IQ of the world is becoming lower and lower, and that the world would no longer be a good place to live in… But it turns out that you can't say everything with emojis a lot of people like to draw their own pictures, and want to express themselves in a unique way. Okay, at least that is good…Hmmm, maybe just allow the ones that come on phones and computers? No support! Scratchers would love custom emojis!

You can't, this is a Suggestion. Also it's really old so you have no good reason to bump it all the way back to the top of the Forums.
