This does it with ALL browsers
The scratch search cuts outs symbols like 1, 2, 3 etc. and *&$/:;'\ etc.
I typed up ':D' and it comes up with ‘D’

The following symbols you've listed that do cut out in the search from my testing are & and / but that's it

Fortunately, leaving out the symbols still yields the same result as using them.

e.g.
“run jump”
"run & jump"

now it doesn't even work
