Bring back the Remix Tree Button! [READ BEFORE REPLYING!!!]
*an 8 year old I feel this is simply unnecessary. Why would a 8 year old kid need a remix tree?
Reminder: Scratch isn't made for people 15+ although it can be used by them. It's targeted towards children.

Support. I have an addon that brings this back and it is really awesome. It would just be one button to add.

hey uh little update that probably my ad-hd talking there. its useful to find remixes than the regular system. it also helps on remix chainsIt is, if you're wanting to find projects categorized by lists. Most people would like a tree of projects since it's more simple, and remixes are easier to identify and look for. I don't know why but its just a bit useless

Most new users don't know that it exists though. You can just writeno need to bring back the button…scratch.mit.edu/projects/project_ID/remixtree
From another topic (context is slightly different, but the analogy still applies):
“we don't need a love button, you can make a post request to that API already”

The Remix Tree was a good thing so they should add it back to see all those remixes

thank you man You can always just use:https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/projects/<PROJECT ID>/remixtree/
But what about the new scratchers who don't know about putting the remixtree in the url. It's waaaayyy better to have a button that shows the tree. Next question.

Also, is there proof that a remixtree would be difficult for people to understand? There's 8 year olds that understand trigonometry.Just because Scratch is made to be accessible to 8-year-olds doesn't mean that there can't be stuff for older users too. 8-year-olds don't need the sin, cos, or tan blocks, but those blocks still exist, right? I feel this is simply unnecessary. Why would a 8 year old kid need a remix tree?
Reminder: Scratch isn't made for people 15+ although it can be used by them. It's targeted towards children.
If I'm to take that first sentence 100% seriously, an 8-year-old doesn't need Scratch. They don't need the internet. They don't need a computer. None of this is needed, yet it still exists, does it not?

No worries, none at all! I agree though, absolutely useful for beginners, if they never used it before while using Scratch. Oh, and a little fun fact: this actually was implemented to Scratch 2.0 while Scratch was still in development, but got removed to what I believe were bugs and minor issues with the tree's project index. I don't know for sure if that's what caused it to be removed, but I'm pretty sure all that can be found on the Scratch Wiki. hey uh little update that probably my ad-hd talking there. its useful to find remixes than the regular system. it also helps on remix chains
Even if that's the case, this feature is still useful, and has a purpose of use. They didn't need to remove it completely just because it was causing a few issues. You can just writeno need to bring back the button…scratch.mit.edu/projects/project_ID/remixtree

The reason ST hasn't added it because… they don't need to.. does it benefit the site? Kinda. But does it boost security, no. Scratch is busy merging renovate bot PR's.

Yes, but this is specifically requesting a button.

Hmm… you have a point there. Personally though, it would be nice if it were an option, and maybe not an extra button. Like a toggle, which could ease up on security. The reason ST hasn't added it because… they don't need to.. does it benefit the site? Kinda. But does it boost security, no. Scratch is busy merging renovate bot PR's.
