Re-add progress bar for loading
You just perfectly described the current loading screen… no support, progress-bars, aren't accurate at all, the only reason that it's there is to make us feel like it's doing something, also sometimes there are artificial wait times, which aren't fun.

Support, it's really annoying when a big project takes forever to load, and you don't have a ruff estimate of how much longer it would take

oh yeah i should mention, knowing how long a project is taking to load, especially huge ones really makes you feel like its not just frozen and maybe doing something. and yes while progress bars technically can't be perfect, as humans we can estimate the remaining times easily by averaging how long the other stuff took.
we wouldn't be able to do that while a little message randomly displays completely random text that usually has nothing to do with what scratch is actually doing.
for example, heres a huge project loading

Support!
It did give a good idea of how much longer it would take. It may have been placebo (meaning it was false) but it still gave a good idea of how much longer.

Support!…But it wasn’t false.

Scratch loads the project first, then the assets. It’s not a definitive percentage, and it never claimed to be, because the assets are of varying sizes. When the progress bar is done, the project is ready within the next second or two. If it was really false, it would stay stuck at 100%.
Anyone else hate when progress bars literally say 100% and are still loading? Drives me crazy!

Before anyone uses this as a reason to not support, this is not something that always happens and when it does it's usually on purpose. Obviously what we want is a correct progress bar that tells you how many assets are left to be loaded, just like the old Scratch 2 or the TurboWarp loading bars.Anyone else hate when progress bars literally say 100% and are still loading? Drives me crazy! That is because the just move so you think things are happening. It is called placebo.

Support this for sure. It was super useful, and also, can I ask what “text at the bottom” you are referring to?

That one that appears when you load any project that says “loading scripts”, “inflating gobos”, “herding cats”, “loading extensions”… Support this for sure. It was super useful, and also, can I ask what “text at the bottom” you are referring to?

What also upsets me is the fact the kept the loading text but falsified it. It acts like it's ‘loading scripts’ and ‘loading sprites’ but it isn't really doing that, since it will then proceed to say ‘inflating gobos’, unless there's something else too technical for it to say.

Bump.
It's surprising how many suggestions are implemented in the extension. Speaking of which, it's weird how one of them causes my post count to go from “100+” to “75”. Pretty funny.
