These do work (and, the forums didn't let them work in the first place). I've tried on a 2.0-style (profile) page and a 3.0-style (project) page. They worked in both places.

If I'm correct, they currently don't work on project pages, but they do on profiles and studio comments. Try it out.

Last I checked, these emojis now work on profile comments and project comments, which I believe is what you were suggesting. You can go here for a very good list of all the Scratch emojis.
