We're having some electrical work done in our server room, so we'll be shutting all Scratch sites down for approx. 2 hours tomorrow morning. It should start a little after 7 a.m. So don't panic: It's not Kaj.

That rumor seems to start everytime we have downtime! XD
Nope, it's just plain old downtime. We will also have some downtime when we do make the transition before release, but we'll make that really clear in the announcement. Also, nothing will really change about the site - it's only electrical work.

Also, why do we need electrical work done, is there a problem with it?

remember timezone differences
also i broke into a bit of a sweat as i have a project for art on here and the server was down more than two hours

Yep, we started kind of late. Plus things always blow up when you reboot them.

Which is funny: It's good to reboot your desktop computer. It is often very bad / painful to reboot your server. Go figure.
