yeah probably because deltarune has a murderous-by-nature major character and undertale didn't

pretty sure that Undyne had the most swears in UT. she had like three on genocide, I think four on pacifist, and two on neutral…

On an unrelated note, anyone noticed the repeating themes so far? Spoiler tag: Firstly, we have the repetition of the idea that our choices don't matter. Secondly, we have the repeated use of the tune from the ending song throughout pretty much all the background music, particularly the “don't forget, I'm with you in the dark” line. I wonder what these are going to add up to. Probably main plot points in the game tbh.

I'm just kidding obviously, but motifs are just something that they do in music and have done since before Bach; it probably doesn't have any plot significance. I'm guessing that the theme you mentioned in your spoiler tag has something to do with that event at the end of the game.

I think you've kind of missed the point, the whole choices not mattering thing is playing into some kind of point/message/plot occurrence Toby is building up to. It's not really supposed to be considered in a “how fun is this game mechanic” light but instead as an addition to the themes and ideas the story is conveying- it acts as more of a metaphor than a part of the game, if you get what I mean. Deltarune is likely going to comment on choice in some fashion, likely about our lack of it.
